About Crestwood Hills Swim Team
Crestwood Hills Swim Team was founded in 1972 at the Crestwood Hills Recreation Center on Fox Lonas Drive in West Knoxville. We are a member of the GKAISA swim league which consists of 36 teams grouped into 6 divisions across the Knoxville and East Tennessee regions. Our team is comprised of more than 170 swimmers. Each summer season is concluded in late July at the leaguewide GKAISA City Championship Meet. It is one of the top five largest meets of its type in the country.
The team has a strong heritage of team spirit and family involvement. Our team values each and every swimmer regardless of ability. Summer swim is truly a team sport. We believe all swimmers should have the opportunity to compete at meets and feel the thrill of racing while their teammates cheer them on.
Most years, one swimmer is awarded the Taylor Guion award, which is given in memory of a former Wahoo swimmer who embodied the spirit and character of the Crestwood Hills Swim Team. This is a very honored award. It goes to a senior and comes with a $100 scholarship.
