What a great Smoky Meet!! Our swimmers swam great, and we ended up 5th out of 28 teams!! We had lots of first timers that joined right in like champs! We had lots of personal bests, heat ribbons and plenty of placing ribbons and medals to bring home!! The kids had tons of fun, and we all got to know each other a little better. Thank you to all those who volunteered to work especially those of you who took double shifts (Alvin, Jon, and Sarah!!) We appreciate you so much. And thank you to all the parents who got up early, packed coolers, drug sleepy head kids out of bed, encouraged, cheered, smiled through exhaustion, helped kids through hard life lessons, and especially those who did it two days in a row!! Because this isn't just about swimming. Life is full of ups and downs, successes and failures, triumphs and disappointments. I love seeing our team cheer one another on, celebrate together in wins and come together in losses as well. Great job, Wahoos!

As for practice this week, Monday is a regular practice day. 13 & up will go tubing afterwards and leave from the pool after practice. They will have the lock in Monday night with 13 & 14 year olds going home at midnight. 12 & under kids will have a party at the pool starting at 5 pm Monday evening. Bring a snack to share! Because of all this, there will be no practice on Tuesday to recover from Smoky and partying!! There will also be no practice Monday or Tuesday afternoon. The only afternoon practice this week will be Wednesday because then we have a meet on Thursday. Please RSVP for that meet ASAP! Also sign up for jobs.

We will also have team pictures Thursday evening before the meet. Pictures will start at 4 pm, doing individual/sibling pictures first. Make sure you wear your team t shirts!! Katie Alley will be taking our pictures this year, and she will just get emails and send everyone digital copies for free!! A big thanks to Katie!
