Hello Wahoos!

We are getting so excited about the upcoming swim season! As the temperatures get warmer, the anticipation of morning practices, friends, sunscreen, and a Weigel’s run starts to grow! Here are a few things we wanted to let everyone know about.

First off, we hope to see everyone at our annual ‘Meet the Coaches’ bonfire and s’mores event on Sunday, April 14th from 5:30-8:00 at the pool. Bring your chairs and s’mores ingredients and hang out with your swim team coaches and Crestwood friends! Both Coach Parker and Franny are returning to our team this season. In addition, come meet our new assistant coaches, Allison Barclay and Darrien Reasonover. Allison will be working with our feeders and 9-12-year-olds. She is a TNAQ swimmer who graduates from Bearden this spring. She will be swimming for Assumption College in the fall. Darrien has swam for the Wahoos since he was in elementary school; however, he wasn’t able to swim last year due to an injury. He attends the University of Tennessee. In addition at 6:00, we will have a brief, BUT VERY IMPORTANT, swim team meeting. We have information for both new and returning families we need to go over before the season starts. Please invite any friends or families who might be interested in joining our fantastic team this summer!

Secondly, we want to let you know that we are using the Tyr Phoenix Splice team suit this year in navy/red. This suit is available for purchase from Swim and Tri or online at Amazon, etc. You will get a team discount if you purchase it at Swim and Tri. Of course team suits are not required, but are just a recommendation as they promote team unity.

Finally, we have had lots of questions about basic team information and questions about where best get information and updates.
