PLEASE READ-updated 2020 Swim Season information
Dear Wahoos,
Crestwood Hills is opening up the pool on Monday, June 1st! We will be starting swim team on Tuesday, June 2nd. If you haven’t yet registered for the season, please go ahead and register.
Swim team fees will be the same because the costs of running the team are still the same. If you are able, we would love for you to sponsor the swim team. We typically raise money through our concessions booth but because of the virtual meets, that source of fundraising is gone. A $300 sponsorship will get your company’s logo on the back of our popular Crestwood Hills swim team T-shirt and on our SwimTopia website. $100 will get your family’s name on our shirt and $25 will get your individual swimmer’s name on our shirt. Thank you so much for supporting our swim team!
Please consider joining Crestwood Hills pool! If you are not a member of the pool, there is an additional swim team-only fee of $100 per swimmer. This is capped at $200 per family.
Practice times remain the same and will posted on our SwimTopia website. The health and safety of our swimmers, coaches, and volunteers are a priority, and we appreciate your diligence in adhering to any pool guidelines including physical distancing. Please talk to your children about this subject! The Smoky Mountain Invitational Meet and City Meet have been cancelled by GKAISA. IMPORTANT: The meet dates that are listed on the SwimTopia page are not correct. GKAISA is scheduling two ‘virtual’ meets for each team and these meets will take place in July (we don't have the dates yet). A virtual meet just means that our team will have a swim meet at our pool with only our team members and families. Results will then be combined online with the other swim team. The Covid waiver is attached. Please print it out, sign it, and bring it to the first day of practice! NO ONE will be allowed in practice unless the waiver is signed by a parent (or swimmer if your child is 18 or over).
CERTIFIED OFFICIALS TRAINING: GKAISA has elected to extend all certifications for stroke and turn judges, starters and referees through the end of this season. However, GKAISA is encouraging all certified officials to review the materials and retake the test for certification. The materials and the links to the test are on the GKAISA website and new training videos will be posted this week. If anyone wants to be certified, PLEASE complete the online training and take the certification test.
You can pay for swim team online or you can just bring checks or cash to the pool on the first day of swim team practice. Thank you so much for your understanding! We can’t wait to see you again, it’s going to be a great summer!
Thank you so much,
Crestwood Hills Swim Team Board
