Dear Wahoos, 

Tomorrow is our first meet and it will be at home against Whittington Creek! Because of the pandemic, we need to adhere to certain physical distancing rules. Typically our families are all underneath the large pavilion. This year we are going to spread out all over the grounds away from the pool deck. You can bring your personal tent and we are encouraging everyone to sit with their family. Since there is no other team, we can set up all around our grass and basketball and tennis courts. Due to restrictions with COVID-19, once your swimmer(s) race is over we ask that you and your swimmer exit the pool deck and return to where you are seated. We don’t want to discourage any cheering, but for this year it will have to look a little bit different! Since everyone will be further away from the pool deck, we will make more of an effort to make sure the swimmers don’t miss their events! In addition, the snack shack of the pool will be in charge of our concessions for this first meet. Therefore, you can use your pool concession card (they’re not accepting cash) to buy beverages and snacks. You can buy a concession card from the pool office.We will not be offering hamburgers or hotdogs at this meet.

We will be having “hot heats” at this meet! Randomly selected heats will be chosen prior to the start of the meet. Before your swimmer steps up on the block the starter will announce that their heat is a “hot heat.” The winner of the hot heat will receive a special prize immediately following their race!

Please arrive at the pool by 5 o’clock, warm-ups will start at 5:15! See you tomorrow!
