    Lock-in and Tubing Day

    July 14th

    13 & Up Wahoos and Parents,

    Don’t forget next week we have our Pool Lock-in and Tubing in Townsend for the 13 & Up age groups. Both events are fun and safe, and would not be put on by the coaches if we didn't feel safe or comfortable with the event, and it wouldn't be approved by both the team board and pool board if they had likewise concerns. So please rest assured that your kids will be safe throughout the day with us. 

    Pool Lock-in: (Tuesday, July 18 after swim meet)

    • Swimmers who go home after the swim meet to get their belongings are asked to meet back at the pool by 10:30pm for the start of the lock-in.
    • Please feel free to go pick up dinner after the swim meet and bring it back to the pool for the lock-in.
    • Once the pool closes at 10:45pm, all keys will be taken up and the gates will be locked. At this time we will watch a movie on a projector, play games around the pool, and night swim. 
    • 13-14 age group swimmers will need to be picked up by 1:00am, but you are welcome to pick them up before this time.
    • Swimmers should be picked up by 8:00am on Wednesday morning. 

    Things to bring:

    • Things to spend the night, including sleeping bag/blankets, ENOs, and pillow
    • Suit for swimming
    • Tennis shoes for games

    Tubing in Townsend: (Friday, July 21)

    • Meet at the pool at 11:15am. We want to leave as close to 11:30 as possible! The coaches will drive the 13-14 year olds, and the oldest seniors will drive the other 15-18s that are without a car. The goal is to drive as few cars as possible.
    • We will arrive at River Rage tubing (http://www.riverragetubing.com/index.html) at 12:30pm. Tubing will cost $10. 
    • We will leave River Rage tubing, catch dinner along the way home, and arrive by 6:30pm back at CWH. At this time, swimmers can return home if they would like. It will be float night at CWH.
