Tubing in Townsend and Pool Lock-in
13 & Up Parents,
Tomorrow is the day! Here is just a little more info regarding the trip. Per request of the Pool Board, there is a waiver and liability release form that has to be signed by every parent in order for the child to attend. I will have several copies at the pool tonight, but I am also attaching to this message for your review. There is also a waiver to sign for the tubing company tomorrow. I will also have copies of this form.
Remember, we are leaving tomorrow shortly after we meet at 2pm at the pool. Many parents have voiced concerns over the driving. Let me clear some things up . . . All 13 & 14 year olds will ride with the coaches. As of now, all 17 swimmers will fit into the 2 vehicles Coach Ben and I will be driving. If we have anyone else show up, one of the 18 year olds will drive themselves and 1 or 2 other 16-18 year olds in their car. Again, all 15 year olds and younger will be with the coaches. If you would like to drive your own child to the tubing company, that is also fine.
Reminder to bring the following:
- $11 for tubing and gas
- Shoes/chacos and sunscreen and towel for tubing
- Money for dinner ($10-$15 recommended)
- Things to spend the night, including sleeping bag/blankets and pillow and change of clothes
- Suit for tubing and swimming
- Float for float night!
One important detail I forgot to mention. As we historically have practiced with the lock-in, the 13-14 swimmers are asked to leave by midnight. We feel this is the smartest and safest way for us as coaches and supervisors, as we believe the 15-18 swimmers will follow our rules and instructions better. If you have any questions about this matter, feel free to talk to me. My number and Ben's number are below for reference at any point.
Go Wahoos!
