City Meet Workers and Info
Our tent is in the same location as previous years...on the grassy hill near the street between the pools. http://gkaisa.org/dev/info/tent%20map%202014.pdf
We still need workers on Friday and Saturday of City Meet. Our work shifts have been reduced by GKAISA. (Please thank those working specialty jobs for the reduction) We have been reassigned to the Scoreboard Pool Lane 6 (Timer / Scribe) for Friday and Saturday only. We do not have any jobs on Sunday. If you have signed up to work Sunday, please consider working Friday or Saturday.
For those that are new or need a refresher, general City Meet Info is below.

Tips for Parents and Swimmers:
- This meet is an all day event. Plan accordingly.
- Parking passes are required on Friday and Saturday. You can also park on the street or elsewhere at your own risk. Passes are available at the box office in the pool.
- Bring healthy drinks and snacks. Very limited concessions are available.
- Vendors will be selling swim related items, so think ahead about buying or not buying. Some things are usually marked down, but essentials are sold at a premium.
- Bring the usual apparatus i.e. towels, goggles, caps, extras of all these if you can.
- Bring spray bottles and battery operated fans to beat the heat.
- Bring chairs to place under our tent area
- Bring books, magazines, handheld games, ipods, etc. for passing the time. Just don’t miss announcements for your event because of the volume on your headphones!
- As a parent of a child in the meet, YOU need to find out what events your child is swimming. Please write this down. It is extremely helpful to purchase a heat sheet as soon as you arrive (usually $10). Bring a highlighter to mark your child(ren)’s events, including relays.
- We do not have assigned clerks at this meet, so you are responsible for keeping track of the events in progress, listening for the events being called to the clerk of course, and ensuring that your child arrives at the clerking area in time to receive an event card and be placed in the waiting area for ready bench.
- Please know where your child is at all times. Please do not leave with your swimmer without telling someone where you are going and giving your cellphone number to someone. Events often run ahead of the schedule printed in the heat sheet.
Encourage your kids to swim fast and have fun. Go Wahoos!!
