All swimmers are assumed to be swimming all meets.  If your child is not swimming in the Whittington Creek meet this Thursday, please "sign-out" ASAP either on website (go to the Swim Meets page then RSVP tab) or on the meet sign out page on the swim team board at the pool under the small pavillion.  The coaches need to know if your child is not swimming in order to do the meet entries.  Relays can be affected (causing disappointed swimmers) if you fail to "sign-out" for meets that you will miss.

Swim meets require lots of volunteers.  Most jobs are divided into two shifts (each appx 1 1/2 hours.)  Our home meets require 60+ workers.  With less than 50 families, all families are expected to volunteer at most meets.  We have jobs by the pool, in the cool(concessions), and jobs that allow you to supervise your children (age group clerks).  Many families fill 4 shifts at each meet.  Please take this responsibility seriously.  Meets really are not possible without all of our great parent volunteers.  To sign-up for your shifts, visit the swim team website and go to the Swim Meets page.  Then click on the "V"olunteer tab.  Choose your preferred job and select your name from the pull down menu.   For job descriptions, see the Team Manual area on our team website.

We still have a few jobs available for this Thursday's meet.  Please consider signing up for one of the open Age Group Clerk jobs if you have a child in an available group.  These jobs are not difficult and will help you get to know your child's team mates.  We will be happy to train you for any job you would like to try.  Referee, Starter, and Stroke & Turn Judges require GKAISA certification.
